Empowerment 2000:  Its mission is to provide the hub by which individuals and organizations can come together to improve the quality of life for all.  As such, we will build the disability awareness of the public and strive for a barrier-free community where all persons may involve a full and satisfying life.

Homewood Adult Day Care:  Serving medically handicapped adults not needing 24-hour care; transportation provided.

MIHI, Inc.:  "Many Individuals Helping Individuals."   For over a decade, MIHI, Inc., has been active in the Washington County community making recreational facilities accessible for everyone. 

National Library Service for the Blind & Physically Handicapped1-800-424-8567; A free library program of Braille and recorded materials circulated to eligible borrowers by postage-free mail through a network of cooperating libraries. 

Parents' Place:  The Parents' Place of Maryland is a non-profit family-centered organization which serves the parents of children with disabilities throughout Maryland, regardless of the nature of the disability or the age of the children.
