American Academy of Pediatrics, Maryland Chapter:  The American Academy of Pediatrics is a national organization composed of 55,000 pediatricians dedicated to the health, safety and well-being of infants, children, adolescents and young adults.  The Maryland Chapter is the endorsed state affiliation to the national organization.  This website is a publication of the Maryland Chapter and serves as an electronic source of information and a forum for communication among pediatricians, parents and other persons interested in the promotion of good health for children.

Congestive Heart Failure Prevention:  Washington County Health System offers a series of four Congestive Heart Failure classes that are taught thoughout the year.

Consumer Health for Kids:  A list of excellent Web-based consumer health topics developed for kids and teens, from the National Network of Libraries of Medicine.

Frederick Memorial Hospital Family Focus:  Programs on child safety and health for parents.   Part of the FMH Wellness Center.

Health Connections:  This program from the Western Maryland Area Health Education Center provides information, resources, and experiential learning for middle school students interested in health careers.  The Web site has links to many sites for children studying or living with diseases or health conditions.

Parents Anonymous:  1-800-243-7337:   24-hour stressline, education, & referrals.  Mission is to fight child abuse and neglect.
