Family Therapy Services: Cumberland, 301-724-0471 Jefferson School, Sheppard Pratt: The Jefferson School at the Finan Center was developed as a partnership between The Jefferson School, Sheppard Pratt's special education school and residential facility in Frederick County for children with emotional disabilities, the Allegany County Board of Education, and the Finan Center, a psychiatric hospital operated by the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene in Cumberland. The program is located at the Finan Center. The program operates on the Allegany County public school calendar and is licensed to serve 10 students with special needs who reside in that jurisdiction. We do referrals for assistance, supportive listening, education for the public regarding mental illness, advocacy and support for individuals with chronic mental illness and their families.
